rencontres epicees Birthdays are big deals.  They should be celebrated with lots of family and friends, always cake and candles, and hopefully gifts that come from the heart!  And birthdays should be celebrated whether someone’s turning one or 100!  But what is difficult is having a summer birthday when you’re in grade school, or at least that has been our experience with our son Jonah.  His birthday is June 9th, and besides family and the neighbor kids, it’s very challenging to get ‘attendance’ to his birthday parties.

rencontres internationales taizé 2013 So this year we brought the festivities to school using some of the party décor and gave everyone birthday invitations for the big party in June.  Here are a few pictures from today’s school treat party!  Read on below for a recipe you have to try, Kansas Dirt Cake.

http://ramshergill.com/womens/galleries-laffayate/ 2 packages Oreo cookies

billig viagra ratiopharm 1/2 c. butter or margarine

http://bolataruhan.org/?fiopry=femme-cherche-femme-27&3a9=c0 1 c. powdered sugar

follow link 1 large whipped topping

2 boxes (3 1/2 oz.) vanilla or French vanilla instant pudding

3 c. milk

1 tsp. vanilla

Crush cookies and put half of the crumbs in the bottom of a 9 x 13 inch pan.  Mix cream cheese and butter until smooth.  Mix in powdered sugar.  Fold in whipped topping.  In a separate bowl, mix pudding, milk and vanilla.  Fold into cream cheese mixture.  Pour over cookie crumbs and top with remaining crumbs.  If you make these in treat cups, you will need even more Oreo cookies and double all of the other ingredients — I made 24 cups.  You can top with gummy worms, or fun chocolates like I did.  You can make these in clean flower pots and add fake flowers.  This recipe has lots of potential for fun ideas.

Have you made dirt cake?  How did you ‘mix’ it up??
